Vintage Paint Book - Hopalong Cassidy a Giant Painting Book - Cowboy - 1950
DESCRIPTION:
The cowboy's name was Bill “Hopalong” Cassidy (a nickname received after being shot in the leg) --- and he was a mid-20th Century star of radio, movies, television, and of course comic books. William Boyd played Hopalong in the movies and TV, and even bought the rights to the character himself. Hopalong was known as a fair-minded, even-handed, sarsaparilla-drinking cowboy who often appeared when honest people were being taken advantage of by crooks, con-men, and other evil-minded people. The comic book series began in the late 1940's and ran through the early 1950s -the peak of Hoppy's popularity.
