DESCRIPTION:
Hand-colored watercolor lithograph by Erik Gustaf Ljunggren from the work T. A.v. Mentzer's work "Atlas öfver Sveriges städer jämte deras alla egor och jordar, jemte arealbeskrifningar", established during the years 1853-1861. Gustaf Ljunggren - in the early 1850s the task of making maps of Sweden's then 89 cities. The maps completed in 1855 were awarded at the exhibition in Paris the same year. The work was completed in 1861 and in 1862 was published: "Atlas of the Cities of Sweden, with all their egos and lands, as well as area descriptions, including 89 maps, drawn up during the years 1853 and 1861". Publisher was Adolf Bonnier, Royal. Court and University bookseller. The printing was done at Hörbergska Boktryckeriet in Stockholm and in connection with this, the maps were hand-colored in beautiful watercolor painting technique.
