DESCRIPTION:
Portrait of Louis de Boiseau (1530 - 1576), also called Lodewijk van Boisot in Dutch, was a nobleman from the Duchy of Brabant and admiral of Zeeland Geisen at the start of the Eighty Years' War. In October 1574, the fleet of the beggar de Boiseau lifted the siege of Leiden.
