DESCRIPTION:
Portrait of Ernest Adolf. The pastor's son went to high school in Zittau. He studied law in Leipzig, then philology and aesthetics. During this time, he met with representatives of the "Young Germany". He was a war correspondent and then editor of the Lübecker Zeitung. From 1852 to 1857 he worked in Hamburg as editor of a feuilleton for the novel magazine Zeiten and Hamburgisches Correspondent. In 1859 he opened a boarding school in Hamburg.
